Crates are a Grow a Garden 2 original system. Each one is a sealed box you buy from the Props Shop (the prop vendor Charlotte, found in the central marketplace), and opening it grants one prop from its loot pool. Cost climbs with rarity, from the Ladder Crate at 30,000 Sheckles up to the Owner Door Crate at 1,500,000. Several launch crates still have prices marked TBA.

Best defensive crates for the stealing meta
In GAG2, props are not just cosmetics — you can use them to defend your garden against players trying to steal your crops. Four crates carry defensive props worth prioritizing:
- Bear Trap Crate (Legendary) — places bear traps that catch and stop thieves. The strongest defensive pick at launch.
- Fence Crate (Legendary) — 14 fence styles to wall off your plot and block the entry points thieves use.
- Owner Door Crate (Legendary) — owner-only doors that seal a walled base; they open for you and no one else.
- Wood Wall Crate — placeable wood walls for fortifying the garden. Currently Fandom-listed only, with contents and price TBA.
